Harris Corporation Honors Outstanding Small Business Suppliers
Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) recently recognized nine outstanding small business suppliers from across the nation during an annual awards ceremony held at the company's facilities in Melbourne, Florida. Three of this year's winners are based in Florida: Aero Electronics Systems of Titusville, Segment Solutions of Melbourne, and Antennas for Communications of Ocala.
- (1888PressRelease) February 27, 2012 - The winners were selected based on whether or not they meet established Harris metrics for quality and delivery, how consistent their program execution was with Harris growth objectives, and how overall performance aligned with core Harris values. This year's award categories and recipients are:
Machining and Fabrication — Alexander Machine and Tool Company, a women-owned business in Woburn, MA; and Ingleside Machine Company, also a women-owned business in Farmington, NY.
Cable Assembly — Aero Electronics Systems, a small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone business in Titusville, FL.
Delivering Customer Values — CS Business Systems, a small business in Buffalo and Rochester, NY.
Collaboration/Teamwork — Segment Solutions, LLC, a service-disabled, veteran-owned business in Melbourne, FL.
Results-Oriented Environment — Resilient Cognitive Solutions, LLC, a veteran-owned business in Pittsburgh, PA
Innovation - Antennas for Communications, a small business in Ocala, FL
Growth Through Partnering — AvL Technologies in Asheville, NC, and Continental Electronics Corporation in Dallas, TX - both designated as small businesses.

The awards program, which showcased the theme "Partnering for Growth," included a breakfast featuring a business update presentation by Bill Gattle, vice president, Space Communications Systems, Harris Government Communications Systems; a luncheon featuring an address by Jeff Woliver, manager, IDIQ Solutions Center, Harris Government Communications Systems; and a tour of the Harris Customer Briefing Center.
