Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2011 - Hardin Construction Company has wrapped up construction of Panama Commons, a 92-unit, family oriented, affordable apartment community near downtown Panama City, Florida. Panama Commons marks Hardin Construction's 12th project with The Paces Foundation, a not-for-profit, community housing development corporation. Teaming with Chap Ashmore & Associates, Hardin started the project in late summer 2010, and in early November completed Panama Commons, which comprises three, four-story apartment buildings, pool, playground, gazebo/picnic area, maintenance building, and bus shelter.

Residents may choose between two-, three- and four-bedroom units.

Panama Commons is built to LEED specifications with the ultimate goal of achieving LEED Gold certification.

The project's environment friendly construction methods and building and community features include drought tolerant trees and shrubs, permanent erosion controls, mechanical systems that use non-ozone-depleting refrigerants, high-efficiency plumbing fixtures and appliances, construction waste recycling and proximity to public transit.
