Hardin Construction to build expansion of University Place to include both student housing as well as an outdoor amphitheater, an indoor auditorium for multipurpose use and walkway plaza connecting the complex to Kennesaw State University Road.
Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2011 - Hardin Construction Company, LLC, one of the nation's leading construction services firms, held a groundbreaking ceremony at Kennesaw State University to signify the first phase of construction on the $26 million student housing addition.
The University Place expansion is a 207,500-square foot, 451-bed facility that will serve as a residential complex for upperclassmen and is scheduled to complete in fall 2012, which happens to be the 10th anniversary of the university's first residential complex opening.
The addition will also have an outdoor amphitheater, an indoor auditorium for multipurpose use and walkway plaza connecting the complex to Kennesaw State University Road.
Several presenters spoke at the ceremony, including KSU President Daniel Papp and KSU Residence Hall Association President Gary Walker. Norman Radow, Kennesaw State University Foundation Chairman, also attended the event.
