Harbinger Watch Company Announces Jewellery Website Aquisition
Harbinger Watch Company announced that it has acquired jewellery website www.vpjewellery.co.uk ; a new retail jewellery venture that has experienced great success and customer service track record in 2013. The venture will operate under the trade name vpjewellery.co.uk online initially with hopes to launch its first high street store in 2016.
- (1888PressRelease) February 24, 2014 - In announcing the acquisition, Peter Johnson, Harbinger Watch Company's chairman and chief executive officer, said, "We believe there is an important opportunity to offer fine jewellery in an innovative, exciting new online retail format. Through vpjewellery.co.uk, we hope to establish a position of authority and merchandising leadership in this fragmented, underdeveloped online jewellery category."
Vpjewellery.co.uk showcases a comprehensive range of Gold, Diamond, Sterling Silver jewellery as well as Pearl types, including South Sea, Tahitian and Freshwater. The assortment will both celebrate the classic styling of the traditional fine jewellery with innovative new designs and arrangements. Key brands such as Elements Gold, Fred Bennett and Fiorelli provide a solid foundation in attracting our core demographic.
The name VP Jewellery was inspired by the concept of VIP jewellery and the luxury it connotes. The vpjewellery.co.uk customer will be enveloped by the subtle colours of serenity in an encapsulating store environment. Translucent and iridescent materials will reflect and refract light to highlight and showcase the natural beauty of diamonds and pearls.
In concluding, Mr.Peter Johnson commented, "We believe the VP Jewellery concept provides an excellent opportunity to leverage and deploy modern day technology with a highly efficient operational infrastructure against the unrealized potential of mid-level fine jewellery. Within five years, we expect to have opened at least 2 VP Jewellery stores".
