Hammond Capital publishes ninth annual Alternative Investment Survey
Hammond Capital today announced the results of its ninth annual Alternative Investment Survey, which was conducted at the end of December 2013 by the firms Hedge Fund Management Division.
- (1888PressRelease) April 30, 2014 - Investor entities worldwide, representing more than $2.4 billion in hedge fund assets, participated in the firms comprehensive hedge fund investor survey. Respondents include public and private pensions, foundations and endowments, sovereign wealth funds, funds of funds, private banks and investment consultants.
Hammond Capital's Managing Director and Head of the Equities Structuring Group, Ms. Susan Wong said: "Despite a challenging market environment over the past year, the hedge fund industry continues to trend upward, with investors predicting a fourfold increase in inflows into the industry for the remainder of 2014".
Hammond Capital's Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Callum MacFarlane stated: "Investors' responses indicate a sustained, strong recovery. Bullish sentiment on equities, flows, and industry dynamics were the clear messages conveyed by the respondents to our survey".
Hammond Capital's Director of Communications, Mr. Steve Parkson also stated that: "Hedge funds now hold a widely accepted role within the overall asset management industry. More than 50% of investors have increased their hedge fund assets under management last year, further cementing the industry's place in the mainstream".
