Different types of waste are being produced during the various activities on the sites including detrimental and non-detrimental waste as well as non-active waste which require proper management complying with rules and suitable standards in order to ensure the lower levels of risk to the environment and public health.
Halmahera Resources provides management plans that comprise all activities related to waste like production, preservation, transportation, processing, recycling and waste removing. The company handles waste management through identifying and defining the characteristics of both types of waste: detrimental and non-detrimental. Special containers are being placed in special zones of the sites and each of them is meant to facilitate the sorting of waste depending on established categories along with carrying the waste elimination.
