Hair Donation Drive By Mantri Square & Hair For Hope India To Help Chemo Patients

- (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2013 - Mantri Square, one of India's largest shopping and entertainment destination organized a Hair Donation drive in association with Hair for Hope India. Through the hair donation drive, Mantri Square appealed volunteers to come forward and donate hair to support chemo patients. It is for the first time that an initiative of this nature has been organized in Bangalore.
The drive was inaugurated by IPS officer Ravi S - Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, West Bangalore. The initiative received an over whelming response from public who pledged their hair for the cause. The hair donation drive witnessed more than 10 volunteers pledging and donating their hair for chemo patients at the mall. Some of the donors who donated their hair for the cause are Saira Sara Sam, Smitha Andal N, Anith Manu, Deepika Priya.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Aditya Sikri, CEO, Propcare Mall Management said, "We at Mantri Square are very thankful to all the people who volunteered to donate for the patients' cause and Mantri Square will continue to commit to worthy causes such as hair donation drive by Hair for Hope Foundation, India."

About Hair for Hope Foundation
Hair for hope was started by Ms Premi Mathew to create awareness about hair donations and save the hair from the bin. They have partnered with Dr Moopen's foundation who will sponsor the cost of manufacturing the wigs. The wigs will be manufactured at, Ernakulam. Any deserving chemo patient could contact hair for hope by email for a wig. It will be on first come first serve basis if the person qualifies.
