  • (1888PressRelease) May 25, 2012 - London - On Saturday 12 May 2012, Héloïse Agelou, Managing Director of Hagleou Horse Racing Ltd in partnership with I.T C.-International Thoroughbred Consultants, together with Jenny Bae, celebrated violinist, hosted their first Hagelou Proms at Ascot Racecourse. Hagelou Proms is an event concept that combines music with horse racing in aid of a chosen charity.

The charity in this case was Aegis Trust which works to prevent crimes against humanity around the world, particularly genocide.

The event comprised a Champagne reception, an exquisite four-course luncheon, a stunning performance by Jenny Bae (who donated her fee), an afternoon of thrilling horse racing, a nail-biting fund-raising auction in aid of Aegis Trust and a fun after party at the Meursault night club in London.

Items sold at the auction included a stay at the Casta Diva Resort, Blevio, Lake Como, Italy; a private jet flight from London to Paris for a day at the races (courtesy of EmtJets); a tailor-made suit by international style icon Sumbul; Henri Matisse's 1947 black & white lithograph "Meditation" (courtesy of Broad Gallery); Carol Joy Luxury Beauty Products; a Gomez-Gracia Poncho, and the two raffle prizes were: Claudia Duffé's oil painting "Sea the Star" and Anthony Osmond-Evan's book, The Spirit of London.

Notable guests among the 125 attendees included: Raef Bjayou, former contestant of The Apprentice who acted as MC and auctioneer for the day; Dominick Fairbanks, great grandson of Hollywood legend Douglas Fairbanks; Mark-Francis Vandelli of Made in Chelsea and HH Princess Nauf Bint Bandar Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, who said of the event:
"The Hagelou Proms is an experience! I'm a big fan of Jenny Bae - she performed an amazing piece. I now want to be more involved with Héloïse and Jenny's project. It was a wonderful day at the races. Thank you!"

Héloïse added: "Hagelou Ascot Proms was a great success! A substantial amount of money was raised for the Aegis Trust charity, the guests had a great time, the weather was kind to us, Jenny Bae's performance was outstanding and we all had a wonderful afternoon of racing, of course. The success of Hagelou Ascot Proms has furthered my purpose to introduce more people to the racing industry and to get them involved. The event was a glorious way to kick start their interest. To sum it up, it was a day where excellence met elegance to experience the magic of horseracing combined with music!"
The Hagelou Ascot Prom came to life following the success of the Hagelou Windsor event in October 2011 which was attended by such celebrities as Clive Owen, Sir Michael Parkinson, Maureen Lipman, Lord S. Devine and Mark Foligno. The Hagelou Ascot Prom, which was sponsored by Carol Joy London, Hagelou Horse Racing Ltd and I.T.C. - International Thoroughbred Consultants, is part of the Hagelou Proms series of bespoke events which proudly unite the time-honoured traditions of horse racing with the unfaltering passions of classical music and fine dining.
