London Estate Agents Stirling Ackroyd remain optimistic amidst doubts in UK property.
(1888PressRelease) March 06, 2012 - London estate agents Stirling Ackroyd announced a flying start to 2012 today as research revealed strong confidence in the property market as a whole The New Year also saw some of their Hackney property watched by millions of viewers in two hit TV shows 'Location, Location, Location' and the murder detectives show 'Whitechapel'.
A recent survey revealed the New Year saw double digit growth in the number of homes listed for sale in each of the 12 national regions, indicating confidence has returned to the market. However, in contrast to other regions which have suffered since the economic downturn began, London prices have been consistently rising, buoyed by terrific demand within the rental sector.
"It's been a very good start to the year for sales and lettings. There is certainly confidence in the market which has rolled over from last year. London very much feels like it's become an investment hotspot and has done for some considerable time now. The media attention has been a plus point; the news is getting out there and helping draw attention to the many excellent opportunities for investment here. We can confirm the press reports simply from the amount of investment enquiries we have been handling, ranging from £250k right through to £250m,"
Stirling Ackroyd recently had their eye-catching property boards and some of their Hackney property featured on Channel 4's hit property show 'Location, Location, Location' hosted by Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer. Another of their East London homes made it onto the small screen in front of an estimated 7.35 million viewers as a backdrop to ITV 1s murder detective series, Whitechapel. The London Olympics are inevitably focusing worldwide attention on the area, but the team are already looking past the games to the future with confidence.
"As you might expect, there's been a great demand for our Shoreditch and Hackney property. But whilst 2012 is the Olympic year, the phenomenal investment which it's brought to the East of the city is making people now look far beyond the event itself to the park, the legacy and what will happen to Stratford going forward. The East of the city is going to be a very exciting place to invest and to live in for a very long time now, "
