GZ Soulye Presents "Benefit Network Cocktail Mixer and Information Night" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
On Friday, October 7, 2011 at 6pm at 2615 Magnolia St. Suite D. Oakland, CA. 94607 G Z | S o u l y e Studios|Showroom|Gallery will host a "Benefit Network Cocktail Mixer and Information Night" providing a space for survivors and their supporters to network and share information about Breast Cancer.
- Oakland, CA (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2011 - The mixer and information night is one of the studios' events in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month with a photography art exhibit entitled "PiNK". "This month long exhibit is an extension of our breast cancer awareness campaign which seeks to benefit the Sharon Randolph Foundation," says curator Curtis Jermany.
The Sharon Randolph Foundation was founded by Sherron Hogg, Stacy Hogg and Sedric Gadson, who started their foundation in 2004 after losing their mother to breast cancer on June 16, 2000. The foundation is geared to directly help those who are suffering with this disease on a daily basis. Some of the programs include the hardship program, early mammogram detection, and a hair replacement program.
GZ | Soulye is a collaboration between GZ PhotoZ.com Photography and Zarif Soulye, a shoe design and showroom. "Zarif Soulye is passionate about breast cancer research," said Jowhari Trahan. "As breast cancer has touched the lives of many people, it's imperative to live and learn healthy living and lifestyle. As in the shoe collection, Zarif soulye supports cancer research thru donating 1/2 of proceeds from sales on "pink" women's footwear to local non-profit organizations. October's featured event is scheduled to carry four styles of pink shoes where 1/2 of proceeds from every sale will be donated to the Sharon Randolph Foundation."
The exhibit "PiNK" features 6 bay area artists, some of whom have agreed to donate pieces to be later auctioned off at the end of the month. Current artists include SF Bay Guardian vote 2010 Emerging Artist of Year, Genea Barnes along with Nana Kofi Nti, Reginald James, Ivan Ramirez, Big Slick Photography and Curtis Jermany. Additionally more photographers have expressed interest in auctioning off pieces as well. It serves as a collaborative of photographic art for a cause.
GZ | Soulye is scheduled to host at least 6 events dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

Sherron and Stacy Hogg, the two founders of the Sharon Randolph foundation have turned grief into glory.
Sherron and Stacy started their breast cancer foundation in 2004 after losing their mother to "the fight" on June 16, 2000. The Sharon Randolph Foundation has three components that were created based on actual experiences with their mother; the Mammogram, Non-Surgical Hair Replacement and Hardship Programs.
Because of her generous heart and spirit, Sherron and Stacy desire to help and are committed to touching the lives of breast cancer patients in their mother's name. They want to help others face the life challenges cancer brings, with dignity and wisdom.
