- (1888PressRelease) June 16, 2024 - TVS Records has released the first Gum Drop Hip Hop song, I Believe in You + Me by the Skool O' Foolz. The single is available on leading digital streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Shazam, You Tube Music, and Amazon. Downloads are available on Amazon and the iTunes Store.
Gum Drop Hip Hop is the newest music genre, bringing hip hop music back to the kids as it was when it was first introduced in 1979. It is currently being performed by TVS Records artists Skool O' Foolz, The Skunkz, SK8TR Girlz, King Kong Kines, The Galactic Blaster, and The Party People.
Skool O' Foolz is a unique group of two white boys and two black girls who were raised in a foundling home, where they became inseparable and started rapping and dancing to 'old school' music. They were all adopted by a married couple that were musicians, and learned to play by the time they were 10 years old.
I Believe in You + Me is the first hit song from the group. It is a light, frothy, inspirational rap about self worth and friendship. It is set to the iconic disco song Good Times, which was the sample used by the Sugarhill Gang in their first hit, Rappers Delight.
The music video version of I Believe in You + Me is in production at the TVS Studios in Hollywood and will be available in Summer 2024.
