Guitarist Denis Taaffe in run for Grammy Nomination with 169th album
Indiana Based guitarist Denis Taaffe hopes for Grammy nomination in this year's 55th Grammy Awards with the release of his 169th album; Denis is on the Grammy entry list in several categories.
- (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2012 - Bloomington based Guitarist Denis Taaffe will find out if he is a Grammy nominee when the 2012 55th Grammy Awards are announced this year. Denis is on the entry list in several categories for his 169th album entitled Modern Rock guitar vol.169 "Deep Sea currents".
"I am just pleased to be included in the entry list again this year.Granted my chances are more than slim as I am an independent musician with no record label backing me and I am pretty much unknown, however, to me at least, my music is as valid as anyone else's" Denis mentions.
Denis has been included in the Grammy entry list 9 times before in the 44th-54th Grammy awards. This year will make his 10th year on the Grammy entry list from which the top 5 in each category become Grammy nominees.
