Guide by Cell Mobile Audio Tour Receives Record-Breaking Number of Visitors
This summer, the Guide by Cell mobile audio tour at Azusa Pacific University received a record 1,000 average weekly dial-ins.
- (1888PressRelease) October 14, 2010 - SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - This summer, Azusa Pacific University (APU) in Azusa, CA, used Guide by Cell mobile audio tours for their special exhibit "Treasures of the Bible: The Dead Sea Scrolls and Beyond."
During the exhibit's 4-month run, the audio tour received an average 1,000 dial-ins per week - a Guide by Cell record for any university art exhibition in the company's history. The exhibit was originally slated to end in August of this year, but was extended through to September due to popular demand.
Guide by Cell mobile audio tours are accessible to any person with a working cell phone. Visitors were able to call in for repeat listens even after attending the exhibit, and were encouraged to share the audio information with friends and family.

"Our visitors loved that it was easy to use, accessible through any cell phone provider, and not an extra thing to carry around. People walked away with a deeper understanding of the subject matter, beyond what was displayed on the walls or in the exhibition cases. Some even listened to the audio tour again at home!"
