greeNEWit Supports Howard County's Shop with a Cop Program
Helping Howard County Children Have a Memorable Holiday Season.
- Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) December 20, 2012 - Tis' the season to help those in need. This year, greeNEWit has partnered with the Howard County Police Officers' Association to spread a little holiday cheer. The organization that provides energy and water saving upgrades to help homeowners and renters in Howard County, Maryland save money on electricity bills, has donated to the association's annual underprivileged children's holiday Shop-With-A-Cop Program.
The program supports hundreds of kids locally. Proceeds go toward taking under privileged children out with one of the Howard County police officers to purchase a holiday gift.
"Helping others in need is what this season is all about," greeNEWit Co-Founder Jason Jannati said. "As active members in the Howard County community, it's touching to learn that some of these children aren't interested in buying gifts for themselves, but in buying things for others. Keep paying it forward Howard County."
