Greencrest Energy Solutions to Launch Solar ER Units at Great California Shakeout
Innovative Technology designed to provide Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, First Responders and other government agencies with an immediate power source, when disaster strikes.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2011 - Greencrest Energy Solutions, an Energy Services Company announced today that it has launched a line of Solar ER Units, designed to support efforts of the Department of Homeland Security, First Responders, CERT Teams, and various other government agencies in times of disasters and catastrophic emergencies.

Just recall what occurred when Hurricane Katrina or the earthquake in Haiti, occurred and power was unavailable for the simplest of needs".
When disaster strikes and power is not accessible in the areas its needed most, The Solar Emergency Response Unit allows for a quick and effective mobile energy solution that can be used in any environment. There are various units for numerous applications including water purification systems, to mobile satellite systems for instant wireless connectivity for multi users.
The Solar ER Unit will be showcased at the Great California Shakeout, at the San Bernardino County Museum on October 20, 2011 at 10:20am The Event is part of a statewide annual drill designed to create earthquake awareness and designed to motivate preparedness. Hundreds of school children will join with the general public at the San Bernardino County Museum to participate in the ShakeOut drill, followed by an Earthquake Fair offering resources from a wide variety of local agencies. Museum admission between 9 a.m. and noon the day of the ShakeOut will be free.
Drill participants will receive a personal emergency preparedness kit provided by KVCR.
Greencrest Energy Solutions will be demonstrating the Solar ER Units and their effectiveness in times of major disasters. "Our goal is to partner with CERT teams, disaster preparedness agencies and first responders to have several more similar demonstrations across California and eventually throughout the country over the next several months ," said Holden.

The fact that the units are solar powered alleviates the need for gasoline powered generators.
