- (1888PressRelease) April 04, 2012 - Birmingham, United Kingdom - Green Room Retail, leading expert providers of retail solutions, including retail design, point-of-purchase, and flagship store design, has been applauded by the organisers of the 26th Bread & Butter Berlin fashion trade show for its work at the event for lifestyle brand Vans.
The Bread & Butter spring/summer show, which took place between 18-20th January at the historic Airport Berlin Tempelhof, has been credited as being the most successful to date, with managing director Karl-Heinz Müller congratulating exhibitors for showing themselves in their best colours.
Green Room Retail was responsible for the design and build of a 400 sq. m stand at this latest show for the VF Group's fashion apparel and footwear label, and despite being one of the larger stands at the show it was amongst the first to be completed, attracting glowing feedback from show organisers.
The stand itself comprised two main customer areas, providing hospitality facilities and a retail showcase across two distinct zones. The former took shape as an extended lounge area, inspired in part by the iconic Stahl House in Los Angeles and comprising beautiful retail furniture and a bar canopy where guests could relax. The stand surround featured cutaway retail windows showcasing current merchandise and heritage collections.
A brick cladded Vans lightbox acted as the gateway to a retail space, fitted out to reflect Vans' retail design template and housing the full spring/summer 2012 footwear and apparel collections. In addition to acting as a selling space, the area was created to provide a showcase for prospective global franchise partners.
The project was turned around in just seven weeks, with the design also catering for the client's requirements to be able to ship it to Berlin in three separate lorry trips and to be revised and recycled for the Bread & Butter autumn/winter show in July.
Richard Ash, Chief Executive of Green Room Retail, commented: "This is our second project for Vans and follows the success of the Shoreditch pop-up store delivered last summer. The brand enjoys a distinct and rich heritage and our work for Bread & Butter played on this, providing essential exposure and ensuring every visitor took away a taste of the Vans retail experience."
