Great Clips CEO Rhoda Olsen to Speak at 51st Annual IFA Convention
Dean Wieber to Present on System Wide Modernization.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) February 09, 2011 - Great Clips CEO Rhoda Olsen will speak at the 12th Annual Leadership Conference hosted by International Franchise Association's (IFA) Women's Franchise Committee (WFC) on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, during IFA's Annual Convention at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
The Leadership Conference is designed to shed light on the tools and resources men and women need to excel as leaders in today's workplace and the community at large. This year's theme is "Leading Through the New Normal: How to Define and Empower Your System".
During her discussion Olsen will help the panel explore some of the changes that were implemented throughout Great Clips' systems and how those changes impacted the overall operation, profitability and growth of the company. She will also address how the "new normal" has affected her as a leader.
Also on the panel with Olsen, will be Mary Thompson, CFE and president, Mr. Rooter, The Dwyer Group. The panel will be moderated by Mary Ann O'Connell, CFE, president, FranWise.
Additionally, Dean Wieber, executive vice president of new business development, Great Clips, will be a member of a panel presentation during IFA's session entitled "Best Practices for Creating and Executing a System Wide Modernization Program" on Feb. 15, 2011.
The session will focus on collaborating with franchisees to define a modernization program that drives their businesses forward during this challenging economy. The legal, technological and physical aspects of a system side modernization will also be discussed.
"I am excited to join fellow panelists from Faegre and Benson LLP and Dairy Queen International to share modernization tips with the broader franchise community," said Wieber. "As a sneak preview, examples to be shared include an overview of Great Clips' ongoing Salon Design Task Force and lessons learned from our most recent salon redesign."
Joining Dean on the panel will be Troy Bader, chief development and legal officer, International Dairy Queen, Brian Schnell, partner, Faegre and Benson LLP. The session will be moderated by Kerry Olson, CFE, vice president legal, International Dairy Queen.
