A key area of focus for Robert has been lean continuous improvement, on which he co-authored a book entitled, "Lean Competitive Advantage" - a guide to operating effectively in the new economy.

Robert's operating experience spans 23 years and his last company was The Hartz Mountain Corporation (largest pet supply manufacturer in the US with $430m+ in annual sales), where he led the management buyout with a major private equity firm. During his time at Hartz, Robert held lead roles in Operations, Marketing, R&D, and ultimately as President and CEO. Prior to joining Grassi & Co., Robert was a Partner at Sax BST where he led the consulting group for the firm. Robert earned his B.S. in Accounting at William Paterson University and is currently serving on the Board of Directors and or Advisors for eight companies.
