Grant Helps Fund McKendree Mobile App
A $60,000 grant from Campus Consortium will enable McKendree University to develop an official mobile app.
- (1888PressRelease) September 08, 2017 - LEBANON, IL - The grant will cover mobile app licensing and development costs.
The new app will include public information such as campus news, emergency numbers, events social media, parking, dining, a directory, athletics and maps. It will also include the ability for students to register, see grades and class schedules; Blackboard, for courses and grades; social networking, including Facebook and Twitter. The app has a tentative release date of mid-October.
“In today’s hyper-connected age, having a well thought out and executed mobile app goes a long way for attracting and retaining students and employees,” said George Kriss, director of information technology at McKendree University. “By working with Campus Consortium, this allows us to fulfill our strategy of offering the best system and services for our community.”
