- (1888PressRelease) August 05, 2017 - Montclair, New Jersey - A strong bond between grandmother and grandson coupled with a shared passion for the game of golf and writing led to the publication of ‘The Adventures of Meadowlark and His Passion for Golf.’ Judith Schumacher, Montclair business woman and her grandson, Jake Magaldi discuss their book with The Montclair Times/NorthJersey.com.
According to Schumacher, “I have a vivid imagination and I’ve always loved writing, so I thought a children’s book about a bird that had a passion for golf was a cute idea. I went to Jake because Jake is very creative, extremely creative and visionary, and excellent writer. The book is about love, such as the love of the golf game and the passion for succeeding.”
Magaldi said, “The book is also about branching out and learning something new.”
Judith Schumacher-Tilton is president of Schumacher Chevrolet Auto Group, New Jersey’s largest volume Chevy dealer, with dealerships in Little Falls, Denville, Clifton, and Livingston. She is the recipient of multiple awards for her leadership roles in business, in her industry, and in the community she serves. Along with her son Stephen Tilton Jr., she established Give the Kids Hope Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that supports educational and recreational opportunities for underprivileged children in New Jersey, which has attracted support from David Harris of the New England Patriots, formerly of the NY JETS, who serves as the foundation spokesperson.
Jake Magaldi is a student at Montclair High School. Among the things he loves most are writing, the outdoors, and the world around him. In his free time, Jake enjoys playing golf with friends and family, including his grandmother, Judith Tilton.
