Grand Opening of The Old Oaks Farm Event Venue in Guthrie, KY
The grand opening and ribbon cutting for The Old Oaks Farm events and lodging venue has been slated for Friday, October 30, 2020, at 12:00 pm.
- Clarksville, TN-KY (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2020 - Nationally recognized Dallas architect and Atticus CEO, Mark Humphreys, and wife, Emily Humphreys, announced the grand opening of their high-end lodging and events venue, The Old Oaks Farm. The Todd County Chamber of Commerce will host the ribbon cutting at the 4.5-acre estate located at 2130 Fairground Road, Guthrie, KY 42234.
After the successful renovation and completion of the 7-bedroom, 6,776 square foot mansion with extensive landscaping updates, wrap-around gardens, horse corral, groom’s quarters, and outdoor entertainment areas, the historic estate has been transformed into a high-end lodge and events venue equipped to host weddings, intimate gatherings, family reunions, corporate events, and retreats.
“We are thrilled to reveal all the updates made to this historic estate with our community, and cannot wait to host our first event,” stated Mark Humphreys. “It is an honor to bring revitalization and life back into this local staple.”
Guests in attendance will be given a property tour that will showcase the 1867 renovated mansion outfitted with luxurious interiors and upgraded appliances. Additional venue highlights include a white fenced horse corral housing two Tennessee Walking Horses, detached groom’s quarters with plans for a custom-built Jack Daniels-style bar, and a newly constructed sunset deck.
Located just minutes from the Red River, guests can enjoy canoeing, fishing, boat tours, bird hunting, skeet shooting, horseback riding, and outdoor excursions. Visitors can also learn about Kentucky’s rich past and explore dozens of museums and visit local distilleries and wineries.
