Grand opening for a new fitness experience in Dublin The Spot Athletics takes small private training and goes big time
Today, The Spot Athletics announced it's grand opening of a 20,000sq. ft. private training facility in the heart of Dublin. The facility, at 7007 Holt Rd., boasts 50 yards of turf, exclusive custom equipment and world class coaches to help anyone reach their performance goals for sport or life.
- (1888PressRelease) March 31, 2017 - Dublin, Ohio - The Spot Athletics already has an international reputation for being a leader in performance training. They are the official speed and performance facility for the Ohio Machine, Ohio's very own professional lacrosse team. They also consult with various NFL and collegiate teams including The Ohio State University's football team. Although they work with many professional and collegiate teams, their work in developing youth athletes was a big motivator to coming to the Dublin community.
"Our focus on high performance families made Dublin a clear choice for our second location," said JL Holdsworth, founder of The Spot Athletics. "We do everything different. Our goal was to create the opposite of the typical impersonal, intimidating and "treat everyone as a number" gym experience that we have all had. Every client who comes to The Spot Athletics works with a coach in a personal or group training setting, so they never feel intimidated or confused about what to do. We only hire world class coaches, with the best credentials and experience, and ensure that their purpose is to serve others and treat everyone who walks into our facility like family."
This model that Holdsworth calls "purpose driven fitness", as opposed to the typical "profit driven fitness" that you see in typical gyms, is what has helped make their first location so successful. The Spot Athletics started in a 2,000sq. ft. space that was inside a larger complex. It soon grew to 3,000 and then moving to it's own location with 8,000 sq. ft. Last year they expanded into the rest of their building in Grandview and now have a 20,000 sq. ft. space in Grandview as well.
"When we started, it was all about treating everyone like family, doing an amazing job, and making it all about the fitness journey. Even though we have grown, we still feel that is the only way to do things. We refuse to do before/after pictures and other typical cheesy fitness marketing because it does not adhere to our values or promote the culture we value so high at The Spot Athletics."
The grand opening will take place on Saturday, April 8th from 9am - 1pm at 7007 Holt Rd, Dublin and is free to the public. The grand opening will feature an autograph session by professional lacrosse players from the Ohio Machine, complimentary performance assessments for athletes, facility tours, special grand opening offers and a ribbon cutting with the chamber of commerce.
