The Freshmen welcome function on 5 August 2013 started with a video on Sangam University followed by rendition of Sanskrit shlokas in praise of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Saraswati. Amidst chanting of Mantra Pushpam from Taithreeya Aranyakam (1.22) of Yajur Veda, the traditional lamp lighting by the dignitaries present took place.
Giving an overview of the salient features of the educational system at Sangam University, Vice Chancellor Prof BR Natarajan introduced senior faculty members to the students and urged them to take up volunteerism as a mission with passion to serve the community and advised them to come out of their comfort zones to face unforeseen challenges.
On this occasion, Chairperson Sri Ram Pal Soni, Sangam Group Managing Director Sri S N Modani, Sangam Group Executive Director Sri V K Sodani, Miss Antima Soni Advisor for Strategic Planning and International Collaborations also addressed the newly admitted students to motivate them to be dreamers who will turn out to be performers and achievers in coming times. The dignitaries also participated in a tree plantation drive to emphasize on keeping the campus not only clean but also green.
Dr Anuj Nuwal gave the salient features of the examination and grading system at Sangam while Prof Mathur highlighted the rules and regulations pertaining to discipline, library, hostel, mess etc. Corporate Resource Centre Head Mr SK Jain spoke on the Training and placement process at Sangam and Dr Rajeev Mehta emphasized on safety precautions in workshop, laboratories etc. Faculty members Ms Reema Dashora and Mrs Archana Agarwal highlighted the club activities at Sangam with a short video presentation. On 06 August 2013, as an integral part of the orientation, all freshmen were taken for industry visit to various plants of Sangam Group Bhilwara. It goes without saying that the welcome included various entertainment and team games too.
At the end of the orientation, the beaming faces of students and parents conveyed beyond doubt that they were proud to be part of Sangam University which is destined to achieve glory with the motto "Where Aspiration Meets Opportunity.
