GRAITEC launch new Ball Post Railing Designer for Autodesk Advance Steel 2016
GRAITEC, international BIM and CAD software developer for AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner across Europe, has released a comprehensive new app for creating ball post railing systems in Autodesk® Advance Steel.
- (1888PressRelease) November 21, 2015 - Ball post railing systems are flexible and easy to install safety barrier structures with multiple uses including mining installations, plant access platforms, safety systems for water and utility sites and much more. These railing systems are used around the world especially for remote locations but can even be seen on Navy ship vessels. Having a dedicated tool for automating the setting-out of ball post railings has long been a request of many Autodesk® Advance Steel users worldwide and will save a vast amount of time.
The Ball Post Railing Designer app from GRAITEC is designed to work directly with Autodesk® Advance Steel 2016, to create various user-defined or manufacturer-specific ball post railing systems. Autodesk® Advance Steel users can now benefit from quickly creating ball post railing systems based on their own design or to a specific manufacturer's catalogue and produce dedicated material lists for procurement or shipping.
With the Ball Post Railing Designer, users will have complete flexibility enabling the creation of a wide variety of ball post railings systems on straight or curved elements, easy modification of kick rails, the ability to define post lengths and ball sizes, top and middle handrails and even stipulate the number and distance between posts. Users will also be able to add different types of returns, from either pre-installed manufacturer catalogues or based on the user's own specifications.
