Wilmington, NC (1888PressRelease) March 30, 2012 - Gracie's Friends is a half-hour television program that airs every Sunday starting April 1st at 12:30 PM ET on WWAY (ABC affiliate) in Wilmington, NC. The show was launched to showcase misplaced animals from local shelters that were in need of loving homes. Along with finding families for deserving animals, the show features veterinarians who teach owners how to train and properly care for their furry, four-legged friends. The host, a two-year old Golden Retriever, wants to help place her friends in homes and hopes to act as a Therapy Dog this season. Once she is properly trained, she'll visit children's hospitals and retirement communities for senior citizens.
