GOTRIbal and SOAS Racing Tap Online Female Endurance Sports Community to Choose Winning Underpants Runner
In conjunction with the Kona Underpants Run, female-focused endurance sports brands will provide interactive way for their online communities to get a piece of the action.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 07, 2011 - On October 6, 2011 the city of Kona, Hawaii will see one of its main streets clogged with the most fit athletes on the planet during the annual "Underpants Run" where donations go to support local charities. The Run goes off just before the internationally recognized Ford World Ironman Championship, taking place October 8, 2011 in Kona.
In conjunction with the fundraising event, GOTRIbal, a network that empowers and connects women from across the globe through their love of endurance sports, will partner with women's specific SOAS Racing apparel to give their respective online communities a chance to "get a piece of the action" through voting for their favorite Underpants runner.
During the Run, GOTRIbal Founder Tanya Maslach will snap photos of her "Top 5 Underpants Picks" and post them to the brand's Facebook Page. Fans of GOTRIbal will be prompted to "like" their favorite photo, and the winning Underpants runner will be awarded with a SOAS Racing Triathlon Race Kit post-race. The winner's photo will then be uploaded to both brands' Facebook pages where members of the online communities can post their official "congratulations message" and show their support.
"GOTRIbal and SOAS Racing share the mission of empowering women in endurance sports, and we believe an important part of activating this mission is engaging our entire community, both online and offline, during monumental events," remarked Ms. Maslach.

Post-race, SOAS Racing and GOTRIbal will co-host a "girls get together" brunch where female endurance sports enthusiasts from across the globe will be able to network, mingle, and share stories of their favorite "endurance sports moments."
