(1888PressRelease) December 28, 2012 - The Golden Chariot will run multiple journeys in the 2013 phase of 2012-13 season. The season for this luxurious train runs from October 2012 to March 2013.

The Golden Chariot journey is categorized into the Pride of the South and Splendor of the South - two different journeys with distinct destinations. Both itineraries are for 8 days and 7 nights and cover destinations like Bangalore, Kabini, Mysore, Hassan, Hospet, Badami and Goa. The weeklong journey encompasses ancient temples, World Heritage Sites, churches & cathedrals and wildlife treasures.

Inspired by the famous Palace on Wheels, Golden Chariot is India's first luxury train that is disabled friendly. The train constitutes of 44 well appointed cabins which include 25 twin bed cabins, 18 double bed cabins and 1 cabin for physically challenged.

Each coach is richly furnished and well-equipped too and represents the architectural aesthetics of erstwhile South India. Each coach has been given names after the previous princely states of South India , that is Kadamba, Hoyasala, Rastrakota, Ganga, Chalukya, Bhahamani, Adilshahi, Sangama, Shathavashna, Yudukula and Vijayanagar.

Their interior décor and maintains modern refinement through state of the art amenities such as LCD television, individual temperature control, electronic safe and Wi-Fi internet among others.
