Gold Crest Nursing Home Commemorates National Case Management Week 2013
Gold Crest Care Center, a premier skilled nursing facility in New York, is proud to join the Case Management Society of America in celebrating the Ninth Annual National Case Management Week from October 13-19th.
- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2013 - Entities ranging from hospitals, managed care companies and other affiliated healthcare facilities will be sponsoring local educational events during the week through different activities in conjunction with local CMSA chapters.
National Case Management Week is intended to applaud the work of case managers for their role in the continued care of patients. Case managers are responsible for patient education, overseeing transfer and discharge procedures and verifying that insurance coverages are active and relevant to patient care, among a host of other things.
The work that case managers do is often entwined with the work of social workers, who are more publicly recognized. This results in the work of case managers often going overlooked and unseen. This is why it is in the spirit of gratitude and respect that the healthcare community celebrates National Case Management Week.
"We're excited for National Case Management Week here at Gold Crest. The case managers do a fantastic job and the residents really trust and like them. The work they do isn't easy and we just want them to know they're appreciated and valued by all of us here," said Mark Salamon, Administrator at Gold Crest Care Center.
