Bronx Based Nursing Home Gold Crest Care Center Supports the Rights of its Residents and Staff in All Aspects of Operation.
- (1888PressRelease) December 14, 2013 - Gold Crest Care Center is proud to support the spirit of Human Rights Day on December 10th, 2013. Falling right in the middle of the holiday season that dominates the month of December, Human Rights Day commemorates the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations on December 10th, 1948.
At Gold Crest Care Center the rights of the residents are the top priority in all aspects of operation. The administration believes that basing their care on the golden rule, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a better model for caring for the elderly. To that effect, all residents are treated as individuals, with different likes and tastes, and are given the personalized care that they need to live happily and comfortably while away from home.
Gold Crest Care Center has a strict no discrimination policy when it comes to their hiring and admissions processes, ensuring the rights of every individual are respected and ensured. Applicants for employment or admission are never discriminated against based on age, race, gender, religion, disability or orientation.
"Properly maintaining the rights of our residents is an integral part of our value system here at Gold Crest. We take gray pride in offering our residents a place where they can receive the care they need without infringing on their freedom. It is incredibly important to us that they know and exercise their rights and liberties," said Mark Salamon, the administrator at Gold Crest Care Center.
