    The Magnificent Mile Race is the first of the eight-race Second Empire Grand-Prix Fall Series. It serves as the USATF North Carolina State one-mile championship and includes a recreational run/walk, kids' races, entertainment, food and other fun activities. The event is part of Endurance Magazine's Race Without a Trace initiative, which encourages sustainable and environmentally conscious activities, and the NC-USATF-Endurance Magazine 2010 Long Distance Running Championship Series.
