GoAuPair is pleased to announce the San Francisco Bay Area as our newest service area for Au Pair childcare. With the increased demand from Bay Area families for affordable childcare alternatives, GoAuPair has decided to expand its services to San Francisco and the surrounding area.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) August 22, 2012 - GoAuPair is pleased to announce the San Francisco Bay Area as the newest service area for Au Pair childcare. With the increased demand from Bay Area families for affordable childcare alternatives, GoAuPair has decided to expand its services to the Bay Area, providing year-round support and information to families and Au Pairs about the benefits of cultural exchange coupled with child care.
Bay Area residents will now be able to enjoy Au Pair childcare for all their children. An Au Pair is a young adult who comes to the United States to live with a family while providing 45 hours of child care each week in exchange for room and board and a small stipend.
"We are excited to announce the Bay Area as our newest service area. There seems to be a large number of people interested in cultural exchange who also need child care," said Devon Kapler, director of global expansion at GoAuPair.
"Although there is no blanket childcare solution, we are confident the people of the Bay Area will enjoy having an Au Pair as a childcare option"
Established in 1989 by the Department of State, the Au Pair Program was created to help increase cultural exchange and international relations. Hosting an Au Pair allows families across the country the chance to learn about another culture and language, while benefiting from full time child care. Au Pairs also benefit from the program with the opportunity to learn about the United States and improve their English.
With the new service area, Bay Area residents will enjoy a new Local Area Representative from GoAuPair that will personally meet with and interview Host Families, ensuring they meet the regulations set by the Department of State and help them understand the benefits of hosting an Au Pair. Along with helping Host Families, Local Area Representatives also host activities for Au Pairs in the area, allowing the young international adults a chance to get to know the Bay Area, and meet other local Au Pairs and share learning experiences. Families interested in live-in childcare and cultural exchange should contact the GoAuPair corporate office at 888.AUPAIR1.
