Goa Emerging as the new capital of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery in India

- (1888PressRelease) January 21, 2012 - Wockhardt Institute of Aesthetics conducted a Pre-conference Live Surgery Workshop, as a build-up to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) Course 2012, on 19th January 2012. This live surgery workshop was held at the Wockhardt Institute of Aesthetics, NUSI Wockhardt Hospital, Goa and concentrated on complex Rhinoplasty and Facelifts procedures.
Wockhardt's partnership with ISAPS and Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI), made it possible for the first time in Goa, a live surgery workshop that enabled Aesthetic & Plastic surgeons from all over the country and the world to participate & learn the newer concepts in Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery. The surgery was broadcast live from Wockhardt Institute of Aesthetics to Grand Hyatt and also was webcast on www.wockhardtaesthetics.com, www.isaps.org.
During the workshop a total of four surgeries were performed, of which three where Rhinoplasty procedures and one was a Thread Lift procedure, one of the new promising methods of "FACE LIFT" without any Incision, Stitches and also does not have a Down Time. The Thread Lift procedure can be performed on individuals of all ages and even on those patients who are otherwise unfit for conventional facelift surgery.
Renowned doctors from around the world were present to impart their knowledge and experiences at the workshop. This included Dr. Nazim Cerkes, Turkey; Dr. Enrico Robotti, Italy; Dr Lokesh Kumar, Chairman of ISAPS Course, Delhi; Padmashree Dr Ashok Gupta, Mumbai; Dr Manish Patel, Goa; Dr Yuri A Dias, Goa and Dr Rajeev Usgaonkar, Goa. All the surgeries were transmitted live across the globe and also to the venue. During the live telecast, the faculty discussed the complexities of the surgery with the delegates present for the ISAPS Course 2012..The delegates consisted of several nationally and internationally certified Aesthetic & Plastic from various parts of the world.
