GlobalLogic and Avid Technology to Expand Product Engineering Lab in Kyiv, Ukraine
Lab Expansion from 250+ engineers to 400+ anticipated over next 18 months, further consolidating Avid's Global R&D Footprint and Representing One of Ukraine's Largest R&D Facilities
- (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2011 - McLean, VA - GlobalLogic, Inc., a leader in software R&D services, announced today that Avid Technology (NASDAQ: AVID) plans to expand the company's current R&D Lab in Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine. This expansion builds on Avid Technology's successful partnership with GlobalLogic in Kyiv for the past three years.
The Kyiv R&D Product Engineering Lab's mission will be to collaboratively drive rapid innovation as well as speed time-to-market for new AvidŽ solutions. This phase of the expansion builds on the maturity, knowledge and technical abilities of the current teams.

The Kyiv team will focus on product development and support activities for Avid's audio, video and next-generation cloud solutions. Their work will support a wide range of Avid initiatives.
