- (1888PressRelease) September 20, 2012 - Committed to expanding their supply of high-grade used generators, Global Power Supply has added to its inventory 11 Cummins generators, capable of providing 20 Megawatts of total power. The Cummins 4160V generators (model number DQKC) were manufactured in 2001 and are to be sold individually or as a power plant generator set. The durable 4-cycle industrial diesel engine (model number QSK60) delivers dependable power, low emissions, and rapid response to load changes. These qualities make these generators, individually or as a set, perfect for a wide range of industrial or manufacturing standby applications.
Specifications:
- 4160 Volt
- EPA Tier 1
- 3 Phase
- 4 Wire
- 60 Hz
The generators each supply 2000kw of power, or a combined 20 Megawatts when operated as a power plant system. With only 1200 accumulated hours of run-time since new, wear & tear are not factors in performance. The low run-time and raw power of the individual generators and the genset as a whole ensure that these units can provide a consistent and uninterrupted supply of power to a variety of applications. From data centers, to hospitals, or office buildings, our selection of 4160V Cummins generators offer a reliable power backup system for nearly any purpose.
The generators feature utility-grade metal-encased paralleling switchgear, NGR, day tanks, and include silencer accessories. Several alternator sizes offer selective motor-starting capability with low reactance 2/3 pitch windings, reduced waveform distortion with variable loads, and permanent magnet generators offer enhanced motor starting and fault clearing short-circuit capability. The integral set-mounted radiator system, designed and tested for rated ambient temperatures, simplifies facility design requirements for rejected heat for system-efficient cooling. The generators feature the PowerCommand® electronic control system, providing total genset system integration. This robust control system includes automatic remote starting/stopping, precise frequency and voltage regulation, alarm and status message display, AmpSentry™ protection, output metering, automatic shutdown at fault detection, and complies with all NFPA 110 Level 1 standards, backed by a comprehensive warranty and worldwide distributor network.
Global Power Supply is a full service provider of integrated power systems, including diesel and natural gas generators, custom enclosures, fuel tanks, exhaust systems, automatic transfer switches, and paralleling switchgear. With this acquisition, GPS further cements itself as a major player in the standby power supply industry.
