Global Philanthropist and International Businesswoman- Hikmat Al Kaitoob Named Official Ambassador for Face Forward in the United Arab Emirates
Hikmat Al Kaitoob will be honored for her global philanthropy at Face Forward's 7th Annual Charity Gala.
- (1888PressRelease) August 26, 2016 - International businesswoman Hikmat Al Kaitoob has been named the Official Ambassador for Face Forward in the United Arab Emirates by Deborah and Dr. David Alessi, co-founders of Face Forward. Madam Hikmat will be in attendance of Face Forwards 7th Annual Charity Gala, a Havana Nights themed event, which will be held at Vibiana in Los Angeles, CA on September 24, 2016. She will also be one of event's honorees, and will be recognized for her global philanthropy work. Other honorees will include Los Angeles Laker Byron Scott and Domestic Abuse Survivor Shantel Jackson with a performance by Platinum-Grammy-winning artist Nelly.
Madam Hikmat is a well-respected, international, successful business woman with diverse interests in life and in business. She began her career as a Board Executive for the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development while simultaneously starting her first of many entrepreneurial ventures. She is a notable social figure, loving mother and wife as well as a highly influential businesswoman. She has largely shaped the face of Dubai's tourism market with her various ventures and took a stance for women being treating equally in industry. Hikmat has always had a desire to create change, which is reflected in her work with many charities. "Face Forward is such a beautiful organization that is changing the landscape of the world for woman and I am so excited to be part of the great work they do," Hikmat says.
Along with becoming the Ambassador for Face Forward in the United Arab Emirates, Hikmat will be partnering with Deborah and Dr. David Alessi on a VIP event next March in Dubai that will also benefit Face Forward. "We are honored and ecstatic to welcome Hikmat as an Ambassador for Face Forward in the United Arab Emirates as well as to partner with her on events in Dubai in the future," says CEO/Founder Deborah Alessi. Since its creation in 2007, Face Forward has worked with community leaders around the world to identify victims of violence who are working toward recovery yet carry the burdening physical evidence of past abuse. Face Forward does more than just provide pro bono reconstructive surgery to adults and children who have suffered traumatic and severe physical abuse; they also create a welcoming and safe environment for these survivors to start a fresh new life, and reclaim their confidence. The organization co-founders Mrs. Deborah and Dr. David Alessi both donate their time and skills 100% to the organization to provide Face Forward patients with the necessary surgeries and counseling services. Funds raised by the organization help with ancillary costs, travel expenses for patients including air fare, accommodations and transportation, nursing aftercare and more.
Domestic violence is a serious issue affecting 1 in 4 women and more than 4 million women in the US alone. On September 24th, 2016 Face Forward, will host its most important fundraising and awareness-building event of the year. The Seventh Annual Gala, "Havana Nights" will take place at the beautiful Vibiana, in Historic Downtown L.A. where they will raise funds with a goal of $500,000 for 2017 to support new patients and aftercare expenses. The night will focus on celebrating survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, raising money via donations, and live & silent auctions. The powerhouse-packed event will feature a stunning cocktail reception, complete with entertainment from the moment guests step out of their cars, a seated dinner, silent & live auctions, dancers and live musical performances, and "Havana Nights" inspired ambiance. The evening will also feature Cuban infused cuisine by Bravo's Top Chef Master, Neal Fraser.
