Global Entertainment Holdings in Collaboration to Develop Film School in Los Angeles
Film company hopes to introduce more students to film and media techniques via the sponsoring of a new school.
- (1888PressRelease) May 02, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA - The Lifton Institute of Media Arts and Sciences (LIMS) and Global Entertainment Holdings (OTC: GBHL) announced a collaborative effort in the creation and funding of a new film trade school to be opened in the Los Angeles area this fall.
The LIMS/Global Universal venture will initially involve Global Universal seeking investment capital to develop the LIMS school in the Los Angeles area, for which it will receive a finders fee.
The venture endeavors to co-produce films that will afford LIMS students the opportunity to gain valuable experience working on actual Hollywood films as part of their student curriculum. LIMS will work hand-in-hand with Global Universal to find various positions for LIMS students on a variety of productions, including feature pictures, series, and "new media" productions shooting in the Southern California area. Global Universal is expected to benefit with lower labor costs on its productions for film production tasks that are handled by LIMS graduates and and help to foster new talent.
LIMS students will not only get "hands-on" experience while at LIMS, but will have a leg up in securing paying jobs upon graduation, making the experience at LIMS much sought after. LIMS President Jimmy Lifton commented "This is a "win-win" situation for not only LIMS and Global Universal, but most importantly for LIMS students who, once they have attained the necessary skills, will have an actual opportunity to obtain a real paying job in the film industry."
