Giorgio Fedon and SpaceTek Introduce Space Explorer Watch and Brand Ambassador
The Space Explorer watch and former NASA Astronaut turned Brand Ambasssador, Clayton Anderson, were the highlight of a recent launch party at the Hong Kong Watch and Clock Exhibition.
- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2014 - Italian fashion house, Giorgio Fedon 1919 and SpaceTek have appointed former astronaut, Clayton Anderson as Brand Ambassador. The companies who have agreed to design a Space Watch for use by astronauts on board SpaceTek's Private Space Station. Spacetek's CEO Stiphan Beher stated, "We are excited to have Clayton Anderson on board. Clayton, who retired from NASA, spent 152 days on the International Space Station as well conducting six spacewalks totaling 38 hours." The Space Explorer watch and Mr. Anderson, were the highlight of a recent launch party at the Hong Kong Watch and Clock Exhibition. In attendance at the launch were local personalities, Sharon Kwok, Q Bobo, and former Miss Macau, Jenny Tong.
Giorgio Fedon, a luxury Italian leather goods house, established in 1919, has branched in to the watch segment. Fedon time pieces are manufactured by MCW LLC, headed by Ramesh Jhnunjhnuwala, a Hong Kong based businessman, who exclaimed, "the development of the Space Explorer Space Watch brings the Giorgio Fedon brand to a whole new level and we are pleased to be the official watch of SpaceTek's Space Station and to be collaborating with a world renowned NASA Astronaut."

SpaceTek was founded by CEO, Stiphan Beher, to open space for private enterprise and is developing key systems, infrastructure, and technologies that are essential to rapidly accelerate the commercial space industry and its applicability to the global marketplace. The firm will operate a private Space Station with a launch date of 2017, in a Low Earth Orbit at 370 kilometers above Earth. The Space Station will be capable of accommodating a crew of seven for periods of up to six months and will also incorporate the world's first Space Hotel.
