Gio Castilhos Announces New Song "Bang Bang" Release
The new song "Bang Bang" was announced this Thursday by the international Hip-hop artist Gio Castilhos, and it is set to release on January 15, 2020. Four weeks after releasing the acclaimed song "Baby Don't Wait", the artist keeps his musical production at a fast pace.

Kicking off 2020 in full pressure, “Bang Bang” the new song by Gio Castilhos speaks out to the “Californian hip-hop vibes” lovers. The collaboration written and produced by Gio had the touch of the LA’s upcoming music producer Edu Corso from Moonlight Productions, featuring the talented Brazilian mixing and mastering engineer Renato Xéxeu. Also part of the project, the track has artwork by the designer Murilo Cardoso.
“This first song of 2021 brings the extra energy we need to get through the unresting times we all live in nowadays”, comments the artist. “After a crazy year that we had just come out of, now heading into the most uncertain times in history, all we need is that dope beat. People need music right now, they need to chill and enjoy themselves” comments Gio when asked why to release a song so early in 2021.
In his own words again: “It’s like surfing when the swell comes washing the shore. When times get tough, you just keep paddling. Let’s go!”. The new track comes right after Gio’s recently released song “Baby Don’t Wait”, to portrays the current issues of social unrest related to lockdowns and racial discrimination in recent turbulent times. The second song of the hip-hop trilogy saga project, “Bang Bang” makes a statement of hustle and respect with provocative lyrics and intentional storytelling flow.
About the artist:Gio Castilhos is a versatile hip-hop singer-songwriter and producer based in Los Angeles with a media marketing and action sports background. Gio’s optimistic lyrics blend well with the subtle soulful mix of music genres. He writes his songs with a fearless sense of accidental serendipity, which leads to an energetic and unique style that incorporates world music into a west coast feel. Gio’s first album “Birdfish in Town” was released in 2008 along with his former band project “Birdfish”, and it debuted Gio as an independent artist in Southern California. The second album “Acoustic Fire” was released shortly after, including exclusive acoustic songs and personal testimonies. The third album “Birdfish - One For All” was released in 2012 and included just under 20 original songs, as a friends-compilation version. After a couple of years, released the singles “Tic Tac” and “The Way To Go”, both bringing fire to the table with fresh melodies and a hint of what the next artist’s phase would be: Live looping.
