Gigapix Studios, Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Blauvelt, has resigned.
(1888PressRelease) May 10, 2011 - Gigapix Studios, Inc. announced today that its founder, Christopher Blauvelt, has resigned from his positions as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
According to Blauvelt, "The company is entering a new phase in its transition into what is expected to be a fully realized publicly traded entertainment company. I feel that the timing is right to step down as CEO and Chairman having done all I could to advance the company to this point." Blauvelt continued, "I feel that the company, with a restructured board of directors and its current management team is poised to become a leader in providing film and television content to the entertainment industry."
President of Gigapix Studios, David Pritchard, said "Chris has done an excellent job leading the company through its early stages and over the last few years in a difficult economy. We will miss his leadership and as the founder he will continue to work with us as an executive producer on various projects."
