Gifts On The Go Celebrates One Year Anniversary In New Location With 3 Months Of Fundraisers For Local Schools
Gifts on the Go in Salinas will be giving back to three local schools from September - November this year. First Beneficiary For September Is Sacred Heart School in Salinas November Beneficiary is Church of the Good Shepherd Pre-School.
- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) August 19, 2013 - To kick off Gifts on the Go 1 Year Anniversary in its new location 1079 South Main Street behind the Salinas Valley Center bowling alley, Owner Donna Bruhn will be throwing a Back To School charity fundraiser for three local schools from September - November.
Since Gifts on the Go's inception, Bruhn has been actively involved in giving back to the community. She feels a strong commitment to her customers, to the neighborhood and the community she lives and works in. She believes in the importance of nurturing Salinas youth programs and education. Her stores focuses on helping fundraisers for Salinas Youth based organizations.
The Gifts on the Go team donates goods, services, space for after hour fundraisers, gift certificates, their time, and their knowledge to local community with a primary focus on education based organizations.

On Thursday, September 5th Donna will throw A Back To School Fundraiser kicking off her anniversary with nibbles, bubbles and an evening fundraiser benefitting all 3 schools. The event will take place at Gifts on The Go from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Stop by and shop for a cause. Bruhn will give 20% of all sales from the evening to the participating school (Sacred Heart School and Church of the Good Shepherd Pre-School ). Sacred Heart will be the first school Gifts on the Go will be fundraising for throughout the month of September!

Sacred Heart School is a Catholic Elementary School, which has become a vital component of the Salinas Valley as it celebrates over 106 years of educational excellence. Sacred Heart is fortunate to have a number of families whose legacy has been the attendance of second, third, and even fourth generations of students. So many of its graduates still live here locally, and serve as the heart and soul of our amazing community.
From Kinder Prep (transitional kindergarten) through eighth grade, Sacred Heart promotes an atmosphere that nourishes the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and moral development of each child. Because of the generosity of local individuals who are committed to excellence in education, Sacred Heart boasts a new state of the art Science and Technology Lab.
