Welcome to haunted Lincolnshire at the Gainsborough "Old Nick". Would you like to be taken to the cells of the "Old Nick" where you will be detained overnight for questioning and to assist in our ghost hunt?
- (1888PressRelease) February 19, 2012 - The Old Nick now a theatre was once a fully operational Police Station with a very murky and spooky past, will you survive the darkness of this ghost night whilst sharing your cell with the prisoners of decades passed. Will you feel the chill of the night as you reside in this very haunted location?
Will you feel the spirits of Gainsboroughs old constabulary as you venture into the dark scary corridors?
Now converted from a Victorian police station and courthouse, the Old Nick Theatre is home to many spirits, spirits that once worked here, and spirits that performed on the stage of the theatre.
Strange phenomena has been reported for many years by its visitors, cold unseen hands have been felt on unsuspecting customers. Objects have disappeared and manifested elsewhere for no apperent reason. Shadows have been seen darting around the building and a tense and heavy athmosphere felt and much much more.......
On a previoys visit we experienced as everyone watched with a mixture of anticipation and eagerness the table suddenly began to tilt ever so slowly and finally lifted onto two legs to the amazement of Alan. Sue, Theo, Cheryl, and Siobhan. The table tipping experiment continued for a further five minutes before we spilt into smaller groups and began the paranormal investigation of Gainsborough Old Nick theatre.
And also one of the most incredible occurrences that happened at The Old Nick was when a group of ghost hunters were calling in a circle around a table out in the theatre, when all of a sudden in the corner of the room a really loud noise was heard, immediately Simply Ghost Nights experienced paranormal investigator Mark shone his torch in the area of the noise and to his and Rosey's, Martin, Hannah, Sue's and Mandy's astonishment they all clearly saw a chair moving as if it had been thrown. No one was in the vicinity of the chair, this beggared the question who, or what had thrown the chair.
The Old Nick is now a grade two listed building, so come and join us if you want to simply be a ghost hunter for a night, in a building steeped in so much history.
