Germany's Riff To Host Emergenza On December 14th
Emergenza brings its rock festival to the stage of one of Germany's top music venue's the Riff.
- (1888PressRelease) October 31, 2013 - The Riff is a legendary entertainment venue that was opened in 1994 by Heri, Christian, Marcus and Peter. It is a cabaret with a gallery and beverages. Since its opening it has become a cultural center where dance aficionados, writers and thinkers, rockers and hardcore fans, Salsa and Latino Dancers, bands and solo musicians, readers and listeners, comedians and more come together to share their talent.
The Riff has two main areas, a cafe and a large outdoor area with an amazing view. Perfect to enjoy a clear starry night. The hall holds 650 people making it a perfect place for Emergenza's preliminary rounds. Emergenza has graced the Riff's stage since 2012.
Emergenza is the world's largest festival for up and coming unsigned bands. It holds concerts in more than 180 cities around the world. It features up and coming bands from across the globe. The first Emergenza Festival was held in 1992, it was the brainchild of a group of musician friends. The first festival was held in Rome, Italy, before an audience of 300. Five months later, the attendance had grown to three thousand, and in that year the festival's first compilation album was made.
The festival is held in elimination rounds in different countries throughout the year. The first rounds are judged by the attending audience. The vote is open and audience members can vote as many times as they choose and for as many bands as they wish. The final rounds are judged by a professional panel of judges.
Bands at the Riff will take to the stage for thirty minute sets. Scheduled to compete are: heavy metal band Blood Diamond, metal core band Left Behind the Sunset, Nu Metal band Daddy's Best Kid and metal core band Nemesis Returns.
