Germany's Puschkin Club Will Host The Emergenza Rock Festival
Emergenza brings its rock festival to Dresden, Germany's popular Puschkin Club.
- (1888PressRelease) September 25, 2013 - The Puschkin Club is located in beautiful Dresden, Germany. It offers evening programs of favorite operettas and musicals. They serve Russian and Slavic cuisine and cold drinks. The Puschkin is one of Dresden's premiere musical venues.
The Emergenza rock festival is the world's largest and most popular rock festival for up and coming unsigned bands. They hold events in more than 150 cities across the globe each year. The festival is held in knockout rounds. The first Emergenza Festival emerged in 1992, when a group of musician friends staged the first event in Rome, Italy, before an audience of just under 300. Five months later, the attendance had grown to three thousand, and in that year the festival's first compilation album was made. From 1993 to 2003 Emergenza recorded 54 such albums, both live and in studio. In 1995 the Emergenza logo was created.
Bands competing in the Emergenza Rock Festival take to the stage for thirty minute sets.The first rounds are judged by the attending audience. The vote is open and audience members can vote as many times as they want and for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a jury panel of professional judges.
Each country participating in Emergenza crowns national winners. The national winners are flown at the festivals expense to the international finals that are held in Germany. The international finals are held each August at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. National winners have the honor of sharing the bill with some of rocks biggest legends. The international winners are crowned the "Best Band in the World" and win a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and more!
Five bands will take to the Pischkin's stage to compete in Emergenza; alternative pop band Tom Gavron, alternative rock band The Teeter Men, grunge band DeadEndStreet, post rock band Me and the Gray and punk alternative band Vollgestooled.
