His first foray into music was as the writer of Judy Collins' hit song 'Hello, Hurray' on the album 'Who Knows Where The Time Goes', which also contains songs written by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Ian Tyson. Heavy rocker Alice Cooper also covered his version of the same song on 'Billion Dollar Babies' and included it on his 'Greatest Hits' CD, and it has since been included in a DVD collection of Alice songs by Rhino Records.
