Muskegon-Norton Shores, MI (1888PressRelease) September 25, 2015 - General Mills Foundation Awards Grant to Eagle Village for Wellness Program. The General Mills Foundation approved a $5000 grant to support Healthy in 2015, a Wellness Program at Eagle Village.
This year's wellness theme is Healthy in 2015 and Eagle Village's staff and youth are focusing on taking even small steps toward a healthier lifestyle. Learning exercise options, healthy nutritional choices and how to balance work with home life.
According to Marjie Wirth, Director of Support Services & HR at Eagle Village, the grant from General Mills will allow the organization to offer employees healthy, balanced opportunities and incentives throughout their work day as well as in their personal time.
"Providing employees and youth resources and opportunity to work out, stretch, learn and recharge is our focus with the Healthy in 2015 wellness program. As an organization, if we desire productivity and excellence from our employees, we should do what we can to support their health and wellness needs for a healthy balance."
Additional fitness equipment for their Rogers Athletic Fitness Center, contests and incentive items, tools such as pedometers and wellness education will be areas this grant will be focused on.
