Gateway Cambridge School conducted this workshop to increase the awareness of eye care among school students as most of the child's learning in the growing age is accomplished by vision .Even a slight impairment of vision can lead to a significant delay in the child's intellectual development. Since taking care of child's eyesight from a very early age is very important.
The earlier a problem detected the more effectively it can be treated, More parents and teachers play an important role in detecting many eye disorders in children.
Eye care awareness program was held at Gateway international school Sholinganallur. More than 60 students and 15 teachers participated in this program. The session went as an interactive session that addressed the queries pertaining to eye care. Ms.Srividhya marketing manager and Mr.Vinoth Kumar Regional manager of Dr.Agarwal's Eye Hospital organized this event.
To educate the students and teachers a food gallery was arranged to show the importance of food in younger age for healthy vision. Every student made note of it and the important thing is the Principal said we would arrange these foods in our school canteen for the benefit of students.
