- (1888PressRelease) August 25, 2012 - Melbourne, Australia - GASP is starting a reality TV series about girls preparing for their high school formals. The show is about complex emotional relationships between the parent and the teenager.
At GASP, a fashion clothing store in Chadstone, an open casting auditioned was organised for the TV series. The show is at the pilot stage, and each episode will feature a new girl and her journey to the formal, taking you to the weird and wonderful world of high school formals.
The TV series will be featuring formal dresses from the GASP clothing range.
Matchbox Pictures are casting for the new series about school formals, and they are looking for both boys and girls. Kylie Washington, executive producer of production company Matchbox Pictures, says "the show will take a closer look at the parent and teen relationship and the big business of formals. It's a massive industry; it's a big deal, not like it used to be. Girls are flying interstate to buy $1500 designer dresses, trying to get celebrities to attend their formals, hiring stretch hummers; it's come a long way".
Matchbox Pictures believes that talent is precious and that their job is to create an environment in which the audience is valued and in which, the highest ideals of creative endeavor are rewarded.
Tayla Little, a 16 year Whittlesea schoolgirl and fan of designer dresses has auditioned for a part in the show, and she is looking forward to her formal in August. She says "I'm super excited. I've been looking forward to my formal for months; I think being on the show will definitely make my formal more memorable."
Hoping the show will make for a great experience, fellow formal belle Emma Austin also celebrates her formal on August 17th. She says 'I'm really excited, my formal is six days after my birthday, I don't have a date yet but I have someone in mind."
