Gary Lang Gave Away the First Corvette He Sold

Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2013 - Gary Lang Auto Group gave away the very first Chevrolet Corvette they sold in 1983 as part of their 30th anniversary celebration. The winner is Jim Verseman, from Cary, Illinois.

"I've never won anything like this before," said Mr. Verseman.

The contest had over 1,000 entries and you had to be present to win. Hundreds of people showed up at Gary Lang Auto Group on July 27th to see if they won. Schaumburg baseball ticket packages were also given away to the next 30 entries, as a consolation prize. The first 60 people who checked in also got a Gary Lang goody bag.

"We wanted to do something special for our 30th anniversary," stated Gary Lang, President of the Gary Lang Auto Group. "This was the first Corvette we sold in 1983 and I bought it back from a collector. It only had 125 miles on it. The car was a 1984 Chevy Corvette, as there was no 1983 model year for Corvettes."
