Gary Lang Car Show Helps McHenry County Salvation Army
The Salvation Army of McHenry County received a donation of $2,870 from Gary Lang Auto Group's annual Car Show. The donation was collected from those who registered and attended the show.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) August 01, 2013 - Gary Lang Auto Group's Annual Classic Car Show generated $2,870 for the McHenry County Salvation Army's school supply drive.
Participants were asked to donate $5 per entry and bring school supplies to the event. Many people donated more than $5 and brought lots of school supplies. The drive helps children in need get school supplies and a backpack. All donations went to the Salvation Army Corp for McHenry County, that's based in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
"We think it's important to give back to the community that we serve," stated Gary Lang, President of Gary Lang Auto Group. "And what better way is there to give back than to help children get the supplies they need to help them with their education?"
The Salvation Army provides many serves to those in McHenry County, including emergency services, life planning and they run a thrift store that benefits adults in rehabilitation.
