Monica Langfeldt Joins Garvey Schubert Barer in Seattle Office.

Previously with Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C., Langfeldt practices in the areas of international and federal tax, healthcare, mergers and acquisitions and exempt organizations.

Langfeldt's practice encompasses business, transaction and international tax counsel, as well as advising U.S. and foreign corporations, partnerships and individuals in tax and business planning matters. She also assists charitable and tax-exempt organizations on a full range of legal issues, including creation, operation, merger, acquisition and dissolution, as well as compliance with state and federal laws. Langfeldt has also negotiated numerous software licensing agreements for healthcare providers.
A frequent speaker on tax-exemption and governance of non-profits, Langfeldt is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association (KCBA), Washington Women in Tax and Seattle Tax Group. She is also involved with the KCBA's downtown legal clinic at the King County Court House and the non-profit clinic at Seattle University. Langfeldt serves on the board of the Northwest Justice Project and Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations. Fluent in Norwegian, she is also active in the local Norwegian community.
Langfeldt earned her LL.M. in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law (2004), her J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law (1998) and her B.S. in finance and economics from the University of Idaho (1991).
